Find the exact number of days, weeks and months between any two dates.
The calculator uses real calendar arithmetic across leap years and uneven months — no 30-day approximations. The day count is the true elapsed days between the two dates; the years-months-days breakdown follows the same convention offices use for service periods.
Example: 1 January 2026 to 18 September 2026 is exactly 260 days — 8 months and 17 days.
Visa and stay limits: many visas count “days in country” — an exact day count keeps you compliant.
Contracts and notice periods: 30/60/90-day clauses, rental agreements, warranty windows and refund deadlines.
Personal: countdown to exams, weddings, EMI free dates, subscription renewals; anniversaries counted in days (the 1000-day milestone deserves cake).
Leap years add a day every four years (except century years not divisible by 400), which quietly shifts long-range counts. This calculator handles 29 February automatically.
If either date falls at the end of a month, the years-months-days breakdown follows the standard convention of borrowing from the previous month's actual length.
